Belt Size Guide

1. Measure a belt you already own

This is the most accurate way, because it starts from a belt you know fits. Lay the belt flat and unbuckled. Measure from the fold of the leather at the buckle to the hole you use most often. Ignore the buckle, and ignore the tip past the last hole. That length in centimetres is your size.

Measuring in inches? Multiply by 2.54 to get centimetres.

2. Measure where the belt will sit

No belt to measure? Put a tape round the waistband where you wear a belt, over the trousers you would normally have on, flat and snug but not pulled tight. Read it in centimetres. That number is your size.

There is nothing to add to it. The tape has already been round the trousers, the waistband and everything else the belt goes over.

High on the waist.

Where you measure matters more than how carefully you do it. A high-waisted cut puts the belt line several centimetres above a low-rise one, and on the same person that is a size or two, so measure at the height you actually wear a belt.

Between two sizes

Round up. The spare holes give you room, and a belt worn a hole in from the end sits better than one pulled to its last hole.

The sizes we make

Every belt is made to order at the size you pick, from 60 to 120 cm in whole centimetres. Each product page offers the common sizes as buttons, and a field for any exact number in between.

Choosing your width: 35 mm vs 40 mm

In addition to length, picking the right belt width ensures your belt sits cleanly in your trousers' loops.

Classic 35 mm (1.38″)

The all-around classic. Fits suit trousers, chinos, and jeans. If you want one versatile belt to wear with everything, choose 35 mm.

Wide 40 mm (1.57″)

A bolder, heavier strap built to fill denim and workwear loops. Provides extra presence, rugged feel, and support for casual wear.
